Hi,
I Am
Naheda Makhadmeh
Summary
I earned my Ph.D. in Media and Information Studies from Michigan State University, complementing two master’s degrees in Mass Communication and Political Science. My academic interests are rooted in digital journalism, media psychology, and the societal impact of journalism ethics. Over the years, I have contributed to scholarly journals and conferences, co-authoring research on topics like social media’s role in public relations and the media framing of Middle Eastern politics.
Outside of teaching and research, I enjoy engaging with the global academic community as a reviewer for international journals and a speaker at forums focusing on Arab media and journalism. Receiving awards such as the Stone-Boyd Award from Michigan State University motivates me to continue advancing media literacy and ethical journalism practices, particularly in Jordan and the broader region.
For me, academia isn’t just about research and teaching—it’s about making a lasting impact on the media landscape and empowering future professionals to navigate this dynamic field with integrity and purpose.
